Rebate processor jobs: They are all SCAMS
April 7, 2008 – 11:57 amOk, who never saw a easy money making deal flashing in front of your face? I’ve seen tons of it and surprise, surprise!! It’s never what the sales page led us to believe. People like to call these “deals” as jobs but this is a bald-faced lie and to tell you they truth they should all be called SCAMS.
No, no, no. I’m not saying that you can’t make money on the web, actually my blog is about making some and I will soon release a new service that is all about making some money. What I’m saying is that if it is too good to be true is because IT ISN’T TRUE!
The big thing on the moment are those called “rebate processor” jobs. If you have your e-mail for more than 6 months you can check your spam folder and you will find out that you receive at least 3 callings to be a “rebate processor” per day.
What the f*** is a “rebate processor”?
Those open positions target people who are searching for online jobs or other ways to earn money from the Internet. It counts on you being a little bit desperate and it appeals to your emotions by telling you that your money problems can be over and you can have the lifestyle you’ve always wanted.
Normally their sites leads you to believe that you’ll get a job processing rebates. You think that such a job would involve companies telling you which customer have made a qualifying purchase, and then paying you to do the necessary typing and stuff. This is not the case. The “company” making the sale is you through your Clickbank ads. The “forms” you’ll fill out to “process” the rebates are the fields necessary to send your money to the buyer. Funny isn’t it? Every time I think about it I feel like laughing.
Their claim is usually that you will “Make money simply by filling out online forms”, entering data into the forms that they provide you, you click submit, sit back and collect the money.
They claim to pay $5, $10 and some times even $15 per rebate processed. Their maths lead you to believe that you can make up to $75,600/year working few hours per week.
IS IT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUTH?
All of these claims have kernels of truth to them, but they are intentionally misleading.
Let’s go ahead and say it right away to make it clear: There is no such thing as a rebate processor. What they sell is affiliate marketing covered as a job.
“Make money simply by filling out online forms.” This is a lie. You won’t make money by filling out the forms like you would if it were a real job. You make money IF someone clicks on the ad you created by filling out the form AND THEN buys the product!
Enter the data into the forms that we provide you, click submit, sit back and collect the money. Again, it’s far from that simple. The forms are not “provided” for you, they are part of the process of creating a Clickbank ad. And you can’t just create the ad (i.e., “click submit”) and expect to make money. You have to somehow get that ad in front of LOTS of people so that someone will click and buy. There’s no “sitting back” involved.
You’ll earn $15 per rebate processed. Yeah, and my grandma’s a super model. Here’s how they came up with that number. IF you sell a $37 product from Clickbank and IF the commission is $23.50, and IF you offered a rebate in your ad for $8.50, the difference of $15 is yours to keep! Woo-hoo! What about the bajillion products in Clickbank that are not $37, and for which the commission is not $23.50? Qua Qua Qua… You won’t make $15…
What about the incomes promises? Will anyone make $75,000/year? Sure, they could. But with a lot of hard work. All of those numbers are purely theoretical. They are only possible IF you put your ads in front of enough people AND enough people click on your ads AND enough of those who click make a purchase AND you’ve chosen Clickbank products with a commission of $15 or more. Opportunities like this do not come by every day. Yes they do. Hundreds of them, day after day after day.
Do you still think you can make some money of it?
Good! Just don’t waste your hard earned money with any of this scams. I will teach you the full story, without charging you $99.95. Here’s how it all goes down:
You sign up at Clickbank, an online clearing house of thousands of products
You choose products you want to sell
You create ads for those products
You plaster those ads all over the ‘Net (this step could cost you money)
You somehow get people to see your ads. (they won’t tell you how to do this, nor how to do it)
You somehow get them to click on your ads, not the dozens hundreds thousands of other ads from your competitors (they won’t tell you how to do this)
You only earn a commission IF someone buys the product you’re selling after clicking on the ad you created.
You send part of your commission back to the buyer
Wait…where’s the rebate? Where’s the processing? You see the last step? That’s the rebate. The “processing” is when you look at the email addresses of your buyers and manually send them money through PayPal. Not quite the “job” you were expecting, is it?
That is all the information you will get from the package that those “rebate processors” scammers are trying to sell to you. Is it worth $99.95?? Of course not. A “rebate processor” is just another scam just like, Paid surveys, Mystery shopping, Pay to read e-mail and surf, Data entry, transcription, customer service jobs, Hand out free samples, eBay and wholesale, Get
Paid to drive your car with ads on it.
As you can see as most of the online scams the core idea is legit but the way that it is advertised is just a bold lie. If I could come up with a rule for it I would say that it is never easy as they try to make it sound. If there is money to be made is because there is some kind of hard work involved.
Some rebate processor jobs site
Seen one, seen ‘em all. Folks, they’re all the same. I don’t care what the url is or what the sales page says. If they promise you big money processing rebates, they’re selling you the same stinky cheese. EZrebateprocessing and Rebateprocessorjobs.com uses identical images to show you how the program works, so I know the program is the sam. The only difference is that one charges $197 and the other $37!! If you must throw your money away, I suggest flushing $37 rather than $197. Come one!!
